Meet Eleni, Registered Psychotherapist
Hi, I'm Eleni Kapetanios, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Guelph, Ontario.
Many of the people I work with have spent years wondering what is wrong with them.
They struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to break. Often, they have survived experiences such as childhood emotional abuse, emotional neglect, narcissistic relationships, difficult family dynamics, or other forms of trauma that continue to affect them long after the original experiences have ended.
My goal is to help you make sense of what happened, understand how it may still be affecting your life today, and begin rebuilding trust in yourself.
I believe that many of the behaviours people criticize themselves for—overthinking, hypervigilance, difficulty setting boundaries, fear of conflict, reassurance-seeking, or people-pleasing—are often adaptations that developed for a reason. When we understand the story behind these patterns, healing becomes possible.
My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I integrate EMDR therapy, attachment-focused therapy, parts work, and psychodynamic approaches to help clients process painful experiences, understand relationship patterns, and develop a stronger connection with themselves.
I strive to create a space where you don't have to explain why you're struggling, justify your feelings, or prove that your experiences were painful enough to matter.
You deserve support, healing, and relationships that feel safe.
I'm here to help you get there.
